I have to say that I think Tiago's strong little personality is absolutely adorable! It will surely bite me in the butt in a few years but, at SEVEN WEEKS old, I find it thoroughly endearing and amusing (even if it means that I don't get to finish my OJ-soaked granola, due to his demands for my attention). At first, I thought that his petulance was aimed at me (for setting him down); upon further inspection, I realized that he and his thumb have been having an ongoing battle for some time. He has finally gained enough motor-controll to insert his thumb into his mouth but not for the desired length of time:
