My first week back at work was hard. I knew that Tiago was in good hands. I knew that he enjoyed himself while I was gone. But, I knew that when I came home (and he melted onto my shoulder with a little sigh), he had had the shock of his life--the very first FULL week without his momma at his beckon-call....Not to worry, he is adjusting well to the new routine. (I am still in denial about the whole thing...)

Back at Work!
Good Times!
Okay, Okay. So, it appears that Tiago continues to be the well-adjusted, happy child that he has always been. But, going back to work has been really hard on MOMMY! Fortunately, mommy's mommy has been a huge source of stress-relief at the Guilar household, and has not only helped Tiago during this transition but has helped to keep Mrs. Guilar from loosing her composure while leaving her Baby G/Toddler T behind for the first time!(And, of course, there is plenty of fun to be had at home...)
(Even with a mouth full of bananas, Tiago still practices praising the dog, with a "Gu Girl.")

Music To My Ears
It is so much fun to hear him try to sing. Having never heard the theme-song to the old Adam West-era Batman series, he did a pretty good job of imitating the sounds of words he did not know. But he quickly switched to his current favorite: Bah, Bah, Black Sheep.

In the long car ride to Coyote Ranch, Abuelita had the task of entertaining an irascible, teething, toddler. Fortunately, with 3 children and 3 grandchildren, this is old hat for Lita Susan! Above: Lita and Tiago being silly (they had been laughing and laughing so hard, that we finally couldn't resist getting out the camera to catch the tail end of the laugh fest). It's the best sound to a parent's ears!

Camping Vids
The family at the waterfallsZac and Tiago at Clear LakeTiago is very upset that his arms are too short to feed himself with the lifevest onTiago is perfecting his hiking "baby steps." He was an outdoor pro!
Ice Cap Camping
Although he was not a fan of the life vest, he did not seem to mind the freezing water (and would have willingly gone in chest deep, if given the chance)! Instead, mommy kept him in at ankle depths and let him play in the mud...Oregon or Bust!
